A single job description could never sum up the requirements for this position as it is ever-changing.  That being said, the ideal Computer Tech candidate will have the following:

§ Excellent troubleshooting skills!   This includes knowledge of servers and computers and multiple versions of Windows and/or Mac.  If you are working on a solo project it is key that you get the problem resolved in a reasonable amount of time—this can often determine if a new client becomes a new long-term client.

§ People Skills.   Our clients WILL have questions and it is up to us to answer them with a knowledgeable answer that is in “plain English”.  All clients are different and you will need to adapt to their individual requirements.

§ A reliable vehicle.  We don’t offer company vehicles but you will be reimbursed for your mileage between jobs (at the IRS published rates).

§ Occasional night and weekend availability.  This isn’t all of the time but when major work needs to be done it is usually outside of our clients’ normal business hours.  Some jobs will require early morning hours instead of nights.

§ A minimum 2 years of experience with a strong emphasis in troubleshooting.
